Out Door Country Club has the leading golf practice facility in the York area. Whether you’re warming up before a round, fine tuning your short game or scheduling a lesson with one of our professionals, our practice area is always central hub of activity for many members.

Need to work on your swing? Our practice facility includes:

Golf Instruction

The PGA Professional Staff at Out Door Country Club is extremely experienced in golf instruction and club fitting. Our staff believes that Golf is not a ‘one size fits all’ sport. Every golfer’s physical make-up is different, and as a result, so are their golf swings. By ensuring that you fully understand how your golf swing works, your path to a more successful game becomes much clearer.

Summer Golf Camps

Throughout the summer we offer two- and three-day junior golf camps. Each week our junior golfers will learn the fundamentals in a group setting as well as receiving individual instruction and on-course play.  The final day of each camp week is reserved for on-course play in a fun scramble format.  Juniors have the opportunity to make new friends, improve their skills and create lifelong memories!

Spring and Fall After School Golf

Held in both the Spring and Fall, junior golfers are offered an hour of instruction each day to learn a variety of skills ranging from putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and on-course play.

PGA Juniors

We’re excited to offer PGA Jr. League at Out Door Country Club! A great way for boys and girls to learn golf in a relaxed team environment, PGA Jr. League offers fun all season long. Want to know more about what makes PGA Jr. League so special? Visit PGAJr.League.com. PGA Jr. League takes a team approach to golf—allowing players to grow individually while fostering mentorship among teammates. ODCC PGA Jr. League is open to boys and girls 7-13—no golf experience required!

The mission of the ODCC Junior Golf Program is to enhance the enjoyment, knowledge, and appreciation of the game of golf for all involved. This is accomplished by the help of a professional staff on-hand to help every student with his or her individual golf needs.

Our staff is committed to creating and maintaining a golf program geared towards introducing Juniors to the best golfing experience in Central Pennsylvania and exposing them to valuable life skills such as Respect, Integrity, Character and Honor.

Dress Code

On the Course
On the golf course, acceptable attire for gentlemen includes shirts with collars and sleeves, pants, and golf shorts of appropriate length. Tank tops, tee shirts without collars, cargo shorts, cargo pants, jeans (denim), swimwear, tennis shorts, or other athletic shorts are prohibited. Shirts should be tucked in at all times.

On the golf course, acceptable attire for ladies includes dresses, skirts, pants, skorts, and golf shorts no shorter than mid-thigh. Shirts with either a collar or sleeves are considered appropriate attire. Halter tops, tank tops, tee shirts, cut-offs, swimwear, sweatpants, jeans (denim), leggings (unless covered with skirt), tennis wear or athletic wear are prohibited.

Appropriate golf shoes or approved shoes are required on the golf course and practice areas. Metal spikes are not acceptable. Any type of shoe with ripple soles or street shoes are prohibited.

In the Clubhouse
Members are encouraged to consider common sense, respect for tradition, modesty and the comfort level of fellow members when making dress code decisions.

ODCC’s dress code policy has evolved many times over the years. We would like to remind our members that we expect you to look your best when spending time at the Club and your attire should always reflect what we call ‘Country Club Casual’. It is the responsibility of all Members to be aware of our standard of attire and to ensure that their guests utilize these guidelines as well.

The Bistro is considered a more relaxed environment where casual dress and appropriate golf attire is acceptable. The Madison Avenue Grill is a more upscale casual dining experience and collared shirts are preferred for gentlemen. Clean and rip-free denim is appropriate in all areas of the Clubhouse. We do not encourage ‘athleisure’ attire for dining in the clubhouse. Hats may not be worn backward. Hats are acceptable in the locker rooms, Bistro and patio but are to be removed when elsewhere in the Clubhouse.

Reminder

Cell Phones

When on Club property, cell phones and similar equipment are always to be on ‘silent mode’, so they do not ring for incoming calls or messages. In the Clubhouse, use of these devices must be confined to the lobby, Bistro and locker rooms. These devices are not to be used in the Ballroom or any of the other dining rooms. On the golf course and tennis courts, these devices should not slow down play, disrupt other participants, or interfere with the ambience of the property. On all other exterior Club property, these devices should be used with discretion so as not to disrupt other participants. Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests also abide by this policy.
